How We Work
We start with the site and the way you want to live in it — views, sun, slope, snow, budget, and timeline. The constraints of a mountain lot become the starting point for the design, not an afterthought.
Ideas develop through massing, plans, and materials — each choice tested against how it will actually be built and what it will cost. Because the architect is also the builder, that feedback is honest and immediate, long before the first shovel.

RAL Architects is led by a licensed architect — registered since 1999 — and hands-on builder who has spent his career designing and constructing homes across Colorado's Vail Valley, where he lives, with architectural design work that now reaches the Florida coast. Working in the same mountain towns he builds in means every project carries a neighbor's standard of care.
